Cosmetic Acupuncture
Supporting your skin holistically.
Facial rejuvenation acupuncture (also known as cosmetic acupuncture), is what is says on the tin: acupuncture for cosmetic purposes or to otherwise support skin health. It may help with barrier issues including the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, skin texture quality and acne.
The aim of cosmetic acupuncture is to increase circulation to the skin barrier, improve collagen production and muscular tone. Several techniques are used within treatment that focus on your area of concerns. Acupuncture points on the body are also used to support the internal health of the body.
What we do at Nice Health
At Nice Health, we choose to focus our attention during appointments solely on acupuncture, herbal medicine (where required,) education and advice that will move the needle in your skin health. A treatment plan to suit your individual needs is crafted.
We discuss areas of concern, take a thorough intake, make a TCM diagnosis and perform acupuncture using ultra-fine needles in the face, scalp and body to support your health and skin goals.
We support patients with their skin health who are opting for a fully natural option for skin care or those who want to supplement botox, filler and cosmetic procedures.
What we don’t do
While there is inherent privilege in Chinese medicine treatment, we aim to be as accessible as possible and stay in our zone of genius. For this reason, our treatments are not to be viewed as an extensive facial with cupping, gua sha and product application. The reason for this is two-fold:
a) You are paying for the time of a degree qualified healthcare professional and so we aim to focus entirely on what you cannot do at home or have done by someone else.
b) The use of acupuncture as skin care is best when it follows a specific treatment schedule. By focussing on acupuncture alone, we can have you in and out after a blissful acu-nap in 40 minutes.
We are proud of our no-nonsense approach and our patients love it too.
